Each month, we want to take the time to recognize one of the wonderful caregivers on our team. For August 2026, we are proud to honor Dolores C. as our Caregiver of the Month.
Dolores has been a caregiver for 11 years and has been part of the Supreme Companions family for the past five years. Throughout her time with us, she has shown what it means to be patient, dependable, and truly caring.
After more than a decade in caregiving, Dolores understands that every client has different needs, routines, and preferences. She takes the time to learn what makes her client feel comfortable and supported.
For Dolores, caregiving is about much more than helping with everyday tasks. What she enjoys most is spending time with her client, talking with her, and building a genuine relationship.
Because Dolores lives far from her own family, the connection she has with her client has become especially meaningful to her. Over time, she has grown to care for her client as if she were her own mother.
This special bond can be seen in the way Dolores provides care each day. Whether she is helping with a daily routine, preparing a meal, or simply sharing a conversation, she wants her client to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
One of Dolores’s favorite ways to care for her client is through cooking. She enjoys preparing home-cooked meals, especially because her client truly likes the food she makes.
To Dolores, cooking is not simply another task on her schedule. It is something she enjoys doing and a personal way for her to show that she cares.
A familiar meal can bring comfort and make someone’s day feel a little more special. It can also make mealtimes something a client looks forward to. By learning what her client likes and preparing meals with care, Dolores helps create a warm and familiar feeling in the home.
These simple acts may seem small, but they can mean so much. They help build trust and remind clients that their personal needs and preferences matter.
When Dolores is not working, she enjoys dining out, watching movies, shopping, walking, and spending time in nature. She especially enjoys going for walks and makes an effort to walk for at least 30 minutes each day, especially when she is off from work.
Walking gives her a chance to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and take time for herself. It is one of the simple ways she relaxes and recharges before returning to the work she enjoys.
Her hobbies show that Dolores appreciates life’s simple moments. That same warm and positive attitude is something she brings with her when caring for her client.
Dolores’s story is a wonderful reminder that caregiving is not only about experience or completing a list of daily tasks. It is also about being present, listening, and getting to know the person receiving care.
A good caregiver helps clients feel safe and supported. A truly special caregiver also makes them feel seen, valued, and treated like family. Dolores continues to do this through her patience, thoughtful care, and the genuine relationship she has built with her client.
We are truly grateful for Dolores’s five years of service with Supreme Companions Corporation. Her hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed, and we are fortunate to have her as part of our caregiving team.
